This is a full time position with a $50 weekly stipend.

FRIEDMAN THEATRE INTERN -- This intern assists with general operations for MTC's Broadway theatre during busy subscription season. Duties include assisting with theatre operations, customer service, patron support, theatre merchandise and special event management. This position works evenings and weekends (intern must be available for 8 performances a week) and has a $50 weekly stipend.

 

There are additional opportunities to work on evenings and weekends to gain funds while interning at MTC.

 

Interns at MTC:
* Have their own desk, computer, phone and email account just like our full-time staff members.
* Are given intensive training as well as specific duties and projects in one department under the guidance of experienced supervisors.
* Attend full-staff meetings.
* Attend weekly educational seminars taught by MTC Department Heads and guests from the MTC extended creative family.

Description  On January 30 and 31, 2010, actors can audition for the full time, professional Bacchanalian acting company for our 30th season the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. We are looking for 30 male and female actors to perform in sword fight/stunt shows, various Shakespeare works, interactive and improvised scenarios, and rollicking music and dance. All this is done while portraying Elizabethan characters.

 

The Bacchanalian commitment consists of a four week rehearsal period followed by 12 weeks of performance on Saturdays, Sundays, and Labor Day Monday. There will be some mid week school performances near the end of the run.

 

Strong improvisational and comic skills are preferred. Experience and training in Shakespeare and stage combat are a plus.

 

The cast will receive training in improvisation, stage combat, dialects, stunts, interactive character development, Shakespeare, and interactive performance. Housing is provided.

 

All those wishing to audition need to bring a headshot and resume, and prepare a one minute monologue as well as a 30 second acapella song. If you play an instrument, please bring that as well. Callbacks will be held the same day.
